Nereu Terms of Service
This document is published in English only. The English text is the legal text.
These Terms of Service (the "Terms") are an agreement between you and [legal name and address to be confirmed] ("Nereu," "we," "us," or "our"). They apply when you create an account, make or play a game through Nereu, use Bibi, or use another Nereu service that links to these Terms.
The Privacy Policy explains how Nereu handles personal information. The Game License and Content Terms (the "Game License") explain the rights that apply to your games, Nereu's own ingredients, and asset packs. The Game License is part of these Terms.
1. Who may use Nereu
You must be at least 14 years old to create an account or use Nereu. If the law where you live requires a higher minimum age or a parent or guardian's consent, you must also meet that requirement.
If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 14, we may suspend the account, stop processing its information except as needed to protect the person or comply with law, and delete the account and associated personal information. Where the law requires it, we may ask for information needed to verify age or contact a parent or guardian. Nereu does not currently offer a parental-consent account path.
If you use Nereu for an organization, you represent that you have authority to accept these Terms for that organization.
2. Your account
Give us accurate account information, keep your credentials secure, and tell us promptly at arturo@nereu.co if you believe someone else is using your account. You are responsible for activity through your account unless the law says otherwise.
Do not sell, transfer, or share access to an account in a way that defeats plan limits or security controls. We may limit or suspend access when reasonably necessary to investigate abuse, protect people or the service, or comply with law.
3. Your games and your ownership
You own the original work you contribute to a game and the game-specific selection, arrangement, rules, writing, and other creative choices you make. Subject to the rights in ingredients that you did not create, you may publish, share, and commercially use the playable result.
Using Nereu does not transfer ownership of your game to us. It also does not give you ownership of Nereu's editor, player, runtime, Bibi, trademarks, or other Nereu ingredients, or of third-party asset packs. Those ingredients are licensed as described in the Game License.
The editable project, Bibi history, account data, and authoring metadata are not part of a playable game merely because the game is published. A downloadable build or editable-project export exists only if Nereu expressly offers it.
4. Permission to operate the service
You give Nereu a nonexclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, copy, process, run, format, transmit, and display your game and submitted content only as needed to:
- provide, secure, and improve Nereu;
- follow your private, unlisted, or public visibility choice;
- show a public game on your public profile and, if Nereu offers discovery, in discovery surfaces that match that choice;
- make technical backups and troubleshoot the service; and
- comply with law and enforce these Terms.
This license does not let us sell your game as our game. It ends when the content is deleted, except for reasonable backup cycles, legal obligations, and copies that another maker validly created while remixing was enabled.
Nereu will not make a house-owned demo copy of your game unless you give separate permission for that copy. The permission should identify the game, credit, visibility, and whether you may later withdraw the demo. Until those details are approved, these Terms do not supply blanket demo consent.
5. Visibility, sharing, and remixing
- Private means only you and people you authorize as collaborators may access the game.
- Unlisted means anyone with the link may play it, but Nereu does not list it on your public profile or a discovery shelf.
- Public means anyone may play it and Nereu may show it on your public profile. If Nereu later offers a discovery shelf for maker games, the product must tell you before a public choice also makes the game eligible for that shelf.
Anyone who receives an unlisted or public link may pass it along. Do not put private information in a shared game.
When "Make your own" is enabled, you give each maker who uses it a nonexclusive license to create a separate, private, editable copy inside Nereu and to modify and publish that copy under these Terms. The copy does not change your source game or transfer your ownership. Rights in included assets and Nereu ingredients remain limited by the Game License. Remixing is intended to be on by default for shared games; an eligible paid plan may let its maker turn it off for a particular game. Nereu must show the actual control before relying on this clause.
6. Asset packs and Nereu ingredients
The Game License identifies the current evidence for Nereu's asset packs and the permissions that travel with a published or exported game. In general, a maker may use cleared assets as part of a meaningful game, including a commercial game. A downloadable build must carry any required notices.
Do not use Nereu primarily to extract, collect, or repackage supplied assets as a competing raw-asset library. Some source assets are offered independently under CC0, which permits broad reuse and redistribution. Nothing in these Terms takes away rights you receive directly from the original source under CC0 or another license.
We may block publishing or export for an asset whose license or provenance has not been cleared. We will not knowingly pass an unknown asset license through as if it were approved.
Nereu gives you a nonexclusive, nontransferable license to include the Nereu player and runtime components that are necessary to run a published game or a downloadable build Nereu provides. You may use those components only as part of that game. You may not extract or market them as a standalone editor, runtime, software development kit, or competing service.
7. Bibi
Bibi helps you make a game one step at a time. Its output may be incomplete, incorrect, or unsuitable. Review changes before relying on them. You remain the author and are responsible for what you choose to publish.
Your messages, relevant game context, and Bibi's responses are sent to Anthropic to produce a response. Nereu also keeps a limited turn log for reliability, safety, support, and product improvement. The Privacy Policy gives the details and retention periods. Nereu does not use ordinary maker messages or games to train its own models. A separate, explicit, versioned contributor agreement would be required for any training contribution.
Do not use Bibi to violate another person's rights, evade service safeguards, or generate unlawful or harmful material. Do not treat Bibi as professional legal, medical, financial, or safety advice.
8. Acceptable use
Do not:
- break the law or infringe another person's intellectual-property, privacy, publicity, or other rights;
- upload malware, probe for vulnerabilities, disrupt the service, or bypass access, safety, rate, or plan limits;
- impersonate another person or misrepresent a game's author;
- publish personal information without a lawful reason and any required permission;
- use Nereu to exploit, endanger, or sexualize a minor; or
- use automated access or scraping except through an interface we expressly permit.
We may remove content or restrict access when we reasonably believe it violates these Terms. Where practical and lawful, we will explain the reason and provide a way to contact us.
9. Paid plans
This section applies only when Nereu offers a paid plan and you choose it. Paid plans, marketplace purchases, and downloadable builds are not available merely because this draft mentions them.
A monthly plan renews each month until canceled. The price, taxes, included limits, and renewal date shown at checkout are part of your order. Payment is handled through Stripe. You may cancel at any time through the billing portal; the cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period unless the law or checkout terms require otherwise.
Payments are not refunded or prorated for part of a month, except when required by law or when Nereu expressly promises otherwise. This rule needs jurisdiction-specific legal review before launch.
Paid plans buy capacity and assisted use, not a different ownership rule or a promise that Bibi will be smarter. Bibi turns come from a stated monthly pool that acts as a fair-use limit. Nereu will not charge surprise overage fees. The product must show the applicable pool and renewal date. Unused turns expire at the end of the stated period and do not roll over unless checkout says they do.
If payment fails or a plan ends, Nereu may reduce future use to the free plan's limits after notice. A downgrade does not transfer ownership of a game or by itself authorize Nereu to delete a published game. The product must explain how games above a lower plan's creation limit are handled before paid plans launch.
We may change a future price on advance notice. A change applies no earlier than the next renewal allowed by law, and you may cancel before it takes effect.
10. Feedback
If you voluntarily send product feedback, you give Nereu permission to use it without payment or confidentiality obligations. Feedback is not permission to train on your game or Bibi conversation. Training contributions require the separate agreement described above.
11. Ending use and account deletion
You may stop using Nereu at any time. Until a self-service deletion tool ships, you may request account deletion at arturo@nereu.co. We will first remove public access and then delete or de-identify account data within the period stated in the Privacy Policy, subject to legal obligations, fraud prevention, dispute records, and reasonable backup cycles.
The current product does not provide a complete account-data export. Any downloadable game build is not a copy of your account or editable project. The minimum request process and the treatment of public games must be settled before these Terms take effect.
We may suspend or terminate access for a material or repeated breach, a serious safety or security risk, nonpayment, or a legal requirement. When reasonable, we will give notice and an opportunity to fix the issue or retrieve eligible content.
12. Service changes and availability
Nereu is evolving. We may add, change, or discontinue features. We will give reasonable advance notice when a change materially reduces a paid service, unless an urgent legal, safety, or security issue makes advance notice impractical.
Nereu is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis to the extent the law allows. We do not promise uninterrupted service, that every Bibi response is accurate, or that every game will work on every device.
13. Warranties, liability, and indemnity
This section must be rewritten and approved by counsel for the contracting entity and launch jurisdictions. To the extent permitted by law, Nereu disclaims implied warranties and is not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages. Any liability cap, exclusions, consumer-law exceptions, and indemnity must be stated here only after counsel confirms that they are fair and enforceable.
Nothing in these Terms excludes a right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded.
14. Governing law and disputes
The governing law, contracting entity, venue, consumer exceptions, and any informal dispute process remain open for legal review. Colombia is the recommended starting point only if the contracting entity and its legal seat support that choice. These Terms do not presently require arbitration or waive a class-action right.
15. Changes to these Terms
Each published version will show a version identifier and effective date. For a material change, Nereu will give notice and require acceptance on the next authenticated visit before further editor or Bibi use. Anonymous play of an already shared game should not be blocked. Nonmaterial clarifications and courtesy translations may be announced without a new acceptance when the law allows.
Your account will record the server time and Terms version that you accepted. The approved implementation must keep prior versions available.
16. Language and contact
These Terms are published in English only, and the English text is the legal text. Nereu's product chrome around them appears in English, Spanish, Ukrainian, and Brazilian Portuguese; those labels are not the Terms. If Nereu later provides a translation, it will be for convenience, and the English text will still control unless local law requires otherwise. This language rule still requires legal approval.
